Freedom (to sew)!

After my difficult week last week (which according you lot is quite normal, gives me some kind of comfort), I made the decision to put my little dear into a local nursery every Thursday afternoon. The idea behind this was to give me a bit of regular free time to do what I want to do, and also to stop hubbo getting ear ache. Today was her 1st day and she loved it thank god. This meant I did what I wanted to do, after doing a few chores a got down to some sewing. The houses below were finished off, they are going to be used by my sister as part of her PR strategy that she is planning for her wedding stationary business. The pencil roll was a new thing for me and I have to say I am really chuffed with it, I think I may give it to my niece for part of her birthday present, if little dear gives the OK.

I also managed to get some Lavender hearts done for a show I have at the end of the month!
Anyway must go as 'The Good Life' is on and I really love it.

Hi Vannessa
Good for you! I'm incredably lucky as my parents have my 2 every Sat (Steven works a Sat) and I find it helps so much having a whole day to myself to get things done. The little houses are lovely and I like the fabric you have used in the pencil roll!

Hi Vanessa,
Love your new designs. I have just had a read of your previous post and had to say we had the same problem with Ella whilst on holiday, in fact it was like we had taken another child with us... not the best situation when camping. Needless to say it must of been the break from her routine (now she is home she is back to her normal self), it was like she had to test every single boundary just to see who would win. The nursery thing is a great idea for both of you and I'm glad to read she enjoyed it loads too. You take care!

Just dropped by to say 'Hi',
I have done the same as you with my two terrors for the past 3 years and I must admit it's the only thing that keeps me sane. I love that little pocket of 'me' time when I can re-charge my batteries if only for a short while. I so look forward to it every week.

These are lovely, Vanessa! Very different to your usual makings. It is good to have some 'not mummy' time to get on with stuff, isn't it? Good for you. karen xx
