After many lost hours on the Internet and generally feeling very tired, I have decided things need to change around her. I need to start to be a bit more productive with my time. Little dear started back at school on Monday so that's a start. I need to use the 2 1/2 hours down time for either sewing, cleaning or ironing. I also find that time is good for going to the 30 minute gym. But given that i work 1 day a week that leaves only 4 days free to do the jobs.
I also feel I am neglecting my little dear & family life in general, don't get me wrong I am no 'Mother Earth' but I feel I don't do a great deal with her other than running around in the car for my convenience. Given the opportunity to get rid of her for a few hours when hubbo offers I jump at the chance however this does feel like we are missing out on doing things together.
On the Just Original front I need to make more money, I know we all say this but as I am a very results driven person, I feel at the moment I am missing out on all the tasks I should be doing. And all the opportunities that are out there.
Sorry to depress you all so I am going to change the tone now!
On the Northern Belles Crafts blog, it is going really well we have 4 new contributors from different areas but we are still lacking contributors from the North East. This blog is for everyone to hopefully get ideas on local craft fairs, supplier and support agencies. So if you feel you can help drop me a line.
The blog will be able for all to see on Friday so please pop back!

It is so hard to get the balance right isn't it? I am struggling with it too. There just aren't enough hours in the day! I am having a couple of TV and internet free evenings each week now in the hope of getting more done. I feel so much better when I've achieved something, be it family time, housework or crafting.
I know exactly what you mean about spending more time doing this or that. I'm from the North East, what is it exactly that you would be wanting? I'll help where I can. Send me an e-mail.

I hear you on the 'lost hours'. It is only through going back to work that I have realized how much time I was wasting - I'm super productive now, in comparison!
I agree completely about how hard it is to get the balance right and, like you, hours are often lost on the computer...I hope you find a way to get things more the way that you want them. x
We always feel that we should be spending more time doing things with our families but quality is the key. OUr parents spend very little time with us and while I'm not advocating a return to those days, it wasn't all bad.
It is hard and I think that most of us feel that way from time to time. I am from the North East, if you let me know what you want I will see if I can help you.

Hi Vanessa, just found your blog through sarahs house. I'm from the south i'm afraid so only know of craft fairs down here. You may be interested looking at the webbsite Etsy.com, it is american, but basically its like an e-bay for homemade items. You put your stuff on and people can buy via paypal. theres loads of UK sellers on there, worth a look. My sister in law makes mohair bears and we attend a lot of bear fairs, I'm sure that there are teddy fairs up north if any of you make them. Hope this helps. Take Care Pixiedust x
